Commitment to Safety, SAKA Receives Patra Nirbhaya Karya Madya Award

Jakarta, November 13, 2025 – Saka Energi Indonesia (PGN Saka), part of Pertamina’s Gas Subholding, has once again achieved recognition in the upstream oil and gas sector by receiving the Patra Nirbhaya Karya Madya award through its entity, Saka Energi Muriah Limited. The award was presented during the 2025 Oil and Gas Safety Communication Forum organized by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at the Lemigas Building in Jakarta. The forum also served as part of the government’s efforts to foster and oversee the implementation of oil and gas safety practices, while recognizing companies that have successfully embedded a strong safety culture into their operations.

PGN Saka once again demonstrated its commitment and consistency in occupational safety. This year, the company received recognition for achieving 898,492 safe working hours in upstream oil and gas exploration activities, recorded from June 17, 2020, to April 30, 2025. This achievement adds to PGN Saka’s previous track record of receiving two Patra Nirbhaya Karya Pratama awards and one Patra Nirbhaya Karya Madya award.

The award was received directly by Budi Setiyawan, Muriah Production Manager, as the company’s representative. PGN Saka also expressed its appreciation to all team members who contributed and played an active role in ensuring that safety remains a top priority in every operational activity. Several other representatives from Pertamina’s Gas Subholding also received awards on the same occasion.

The Oil and Gas Safety Awards consist of three main categories: Patra Karya Raksa, Patra Prakarsa, and Patra Nirbhaya Karya. The Patra Nirbhaya Karya category consists of four levels: Utama Adinugraha, Karya Utama, Karya Madya, and Karya Pratama. The Patra Nirbhaya Karya award is presented to Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) and oil and gas business license holders that achieve operations without lost working hours due to accidents over a specified period.

“This achievement reflects the discipline and commitment of all PGN Saka Perwira in implementing safety standards. We will continue to maintain this safety culture and uphold our responsibility across all operational activities,” said Budi.

Through this achievement, PGN Saka remains committed to maintaining a strong safety culture, supporting operational continuity, and contributing to improved safety practices across Indonesia’s upstream oil and gas industry while continuing to deliver positive energy for the nation.
