The program has been developed alongside training for local fishermen in mangrove nursery management and planting across several mangrove ecotourism areas. Through these initiatives, communities in the villages have been able to produce hundreds of thousands of mangrove seedlings ready for planting.

Assistant II of the East Java Provincial Government, Ir. Joko Irianto, expressed his appreciation for SAKAinitiative, which is in line with the Nawa Bhakti Satya mission.

“On behalf of the East Java Provincial Government, we support this activity. As the Governor said, planting mangroves is a form of contributing oxygen to the environment,” he said.

It also supports efforts to meet the requirements of the Corporate Performance Rating Program in Environmental Management (PROPER) beyond compliance criteria in environmental performance assessments. The mangrove planting activity was also part of the series of events held for SAKA HSSE Appreciation Day.
