PT Saka Energi Indonesia, established on
27 June 2011 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

2011

PGN Saka identified several promising assets for acquisition, and began and completed the negotiation process for the takeover of potential assets.

2012

PGN Saka acquired 20% of participating
interest in Ketapang PSC.

PGN Saka acquired the participating interest of KUFPEC Indonesia (Pangkah) BV, the holder of 25% participating interest of Pangkah.

PGN Saka acquired 30% of participating
interest in Bangkanai PSC.

2013

PGN Saka acquired the entire participating interest of Hess (Indonesia-Pangkah) Ltd. And Hess Pangkah LLC. The two companies held 75% participating interest in Pangkah PSC.

PGN Saka acquired 36% participating interest of shale gas block in Fasken Field, Texas, US.

PGN Saka acquired 8.91% participating Southeast Sumatra PSC, the entire participating interest issued by Sunny Ridge Offshore Ltd., and 20% participating interest in Muriah PSC.

2014

PGN Saka acquired 30% participating
interest in West Bangkanai PSC

SAKA acquired 11.66% participating
interest in Muara Bakau PSC.

PGN Sakaacquired 100% participating
interest in Wokam II PSC.

2015

Through one of its subsidiaries, PGN Saka signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement with BP (British Petroleum) to take over the entire participating interest of BP East Kalimantan Ltd. (BPEK) and 50% participating interest of Unimar LLC, which held 37.81% participating interest in Sanga-Sanga PSC.

2016

In May, PGN Saka signed two PSCs with the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) for West Yamdena and Pekawai working areas.

2018

On October 18, 2019, PGN Saka successfully acquired a contract extension for the management of the Pangkah Block with the signing of the extension of the Pangkah Block management, which will enter into effect on May 8, 2026 and valid for the next 20 years until 2046, under the gross split scheme.

2019

PGN Saka, through its subsidiary, Saka Energi Muriah Limited (SEML), received approval from the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for the takeover of 80 percent of PCML’s participating interest over the Muriah working area on June 17, 2020. With this approval, SEML became the operator and owner of 100% of the Muriah working area.

2020

West Pangkah and Sidayu Fields in Pangkah PSC started its production phase.

Kepodang Field in Muriah PSC started its production phase operated by PGN Saka.

2021

PGN Saka's total production exceeded the RKAP target with an achievement of 109% in the production area of the Pangkah Block and Muriah Block, where the Pangkah Block production reached 109%, while Muriah Block production reached 101%.
